Hope Integrated Academy

History of Hope Academy

The vision of the academy was concieved in the fall of 2005 by John Mary Lugemwa, OSB. Construction commenced in January 2006. The facility is currently used for the After school program and Secondary School classes. The Vocational training programs are expected to commence in the summer of 2008.

Funding for the Academy construction was obtained through college student fundraising at the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in Minnesota, Villanova University and various other schools in the United States.

In addition, funding was received from individual donors from various countries.

The land on which the Academy sits was donated by the Waliggo Family of Mulobere, Masaka.

Thanks to the generous individuals and groups who have contributed in various ways to make this dream become a reality.
