Volunteer Resource

Uganda Rural Fund and Hope Integrated Academy welcomes volunteers from any country for any length of stay.

Volunteers work in these areas:

• Teach kids (elementary through high school and dropouts) in the after-school programs. It runs between 5-6:30pm everyday. It also involves sports, music, dance and drama on weekends.
• Teach basic computer skills
• Teach adults literacy skills
• Provide or participate in trainings to women groups
• Engage in family outreach visits
• Conduct social/life skills training for kids
• Help with some landscaping work
• Work in the new community library
• Data entry/database maintenance for after-school program and orphanage.
• Assist kids at the orphanage. please note; the orphanage is about 50 minutes drive away from the school and host family. you take a taxi to get there. you can stay for a weekend or stay there for a week or so.
• You can help with gardening if you like.
• Help with some type of construction is available if you interested.
